Case 5
Mission Christmas
WELCOME
Intro
Dear Players,
Welcome to our latest online escape game ‘Diamonds are forever.’ This is a challenge which can only be played digitally.
For best results, we recommend you play the game on a computer rather than on a mobile device. This way you will have full view of the evidence, and particularly, sufficient representation of the pictures. You can, of course, supplement your investigations using additional mobile devices. We would advise you to keep your tabs open until the end, as these might reveal valuable additional information to you later on in the game.
The game requirements for playing your game are as follows:
• At least one active email address (multiple addresses if possible)
• Paper and pen (for taking notes)
This game is recommended for a team of 2 to 4 players. It can be played successfully with as few as 1 to as many as 6 players.
In the following you will find your instructions, should you accept the mission.
Rummage through all provided documentation and read through each item carefully. Do not limit yourself to the items provided on the next page. Instead, mobilize all additional links and leads for your investigations. Some of the evidence will be harder to find and might only be accessible by solving a puzzle or task.
You can easily invite multiple players from multiple locations to your game. Share your access code with up to 6 people and set up a joint communication platform such as Skype, Discord or similar, to share information and to discuss your strategy.
If you feel stuck during any part of the game, we have developed an extensive help system which you can access in order to get back on track. You can do this by going to the next screen and navigating through to the kind of help you require. Materials not specifically identified as part of the ‘help system’ belong to the game itself.
Technical information
For an ideal gaming experience, we recommend that you play the game in one playthrough. Throughout the game, informations will be collected. If possible, do not turn off your PC and use one browser the whole time, otherwise this information will be lost.
You must allow pop-ups while playing. Usually your browser will notify you that it has prevented a pop-up window from opening. You can change these settings. If you want to change the settings before starting the game, have a look here:

We recommend not using Safari as your browser, as this could lead to minor problems.
The use of Retina displays can also lead to minor display problems in a few situations within the game. You can also find more information on this in the game’s help section.
But now: Have fun! Good luck solving your case.
